it's still the season of rains,
yet nothing could rein me inside
my insides jumping when the sun peeks
peacocks screech and I settle under my tree
treeing my restless soul to wait for the eager fall
falling in reverse for all that feels - worth it, I can not
wait in this damp can of a city another day in these rains
suffocating my city of dreams in my worthwhile wait
my dreams feel strangled by the dirty rouge air
but I couldn't be jolted, a bit bothered or care
for when the sun peeks from the clouds
I swear our smiles seem the same
I wait for the fall in the rains.
